About Rachel . . .

Rachel is a multidisciplinary artist and content creator with a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree from the Communication Arts department at Virginia Commonwealth University. She specialized in character design & visual development, illustration, and 2D animation, which is driven by her lifelong love of drawing cartoons and characters. She also has extensive knowledge in marketing, content creation, art direction, and project management and coordinating, contributing invaluable insights that drive innovation and success in each respective area.

She is currently working as a part-time contract artist, spearheading the strategic rebranding of a classified, but renowned 90’s toy brand for an esteemed toy entrepreneur. Her role centers on crafting compelling designs and visuals that resonate across diverse communities of children, while also enhancing its marketing appeal. She also participates as a mentee at Women In Animation, a network that supports and empowers women and gender-nonconforming people in the animation industry.

Rachel recently resided in Minneapolis, Minnesota for the last two years, where she worked as a full-time Illustrator at Tierra Encantada's Headquarters. She created engaging and diverse visuals for the company's bilingual education program and daycare centers. Now she resides in her home town of Raleigh, North Carolina where she is seeking full-time employment, and is willing to take on freelance and contract work in addition to her current contract.
